Ingredients:
- 3 large apples
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Butter (for greasing)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Recipe:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Grease a 9-inch round baking pan with butter.
- Peel the apples, core them, and cut into thin slices. Arrange them evenly in the prepared pan.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs with sugar using a mixer until the mixture is pale and fluffy (about 5–7 minutes).
- Add the vanilla extract and mix briefly.
- Sift together the flour and baking powder. Gradually fold into the egg mixture using a spatula, being careful not to deflate the batter.
- Pour the batter over the apples, ensuring they are fully covered.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool slightly before removing from the pan. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
