Kilt — is a Scottish national clothing designed to be worn exclusively by men. A kilt is a piece of thick fabric wrapped around the waist, pleated at the back and secured with buckles and straps. Traditionally, a kilt is worn with a sporran, a special bag for small items.
The history of a kilt goes back to ancient Scottish times, when the kilt looked more like a large plaid, long and wide, which could be thrown over the shoulder or used to cover yourself with it in bad weather. Usually is made of wool with traditional Scottish pattern of checks and stripes.
