Pickled Jalapeños

Recipe of the pickled jalapeños, as a tangy and spicy addition to many dishes, perfect for sandwiches, tacos, salads, or just as a snack. This quick and easy recipe allows you to enjoy pickled jalapeños at home with just a few ingredients.
Cooking time:
20 minutes + 24 hours for pickling
Ingredients:
- 10 fresh jalapeños, sliced into rings
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 tsp black peppercorns
- 1 tsp cumin seeds (optional)
- 1 bay leaf
Recipe:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the white vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar and salt are fully dissolved.
- Add the crushed garlic, black peppercorns, cumin seeds (if using), and bay leaf to the boiling mixture.
- Once the mixture reaches a boil, add the sliced jalapeños and remove the saucepan from heat. Let the jalapeños sit in the hot liquid for about 15 minutes.
- Transfer the jalapeños and liquid to a clean glass jar, making sure the jalapeños are fully submerged. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
- Seal the jar with a lid and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving to allow the flavors to develop.
