Recipe of Tomato Puff Pastry Tarts, as a delightful and easy-to-make appetizer or snack that combines the flakiness of puff pastry with the rich, juicy flavor of tomatoes. Perfect for parties or a quick, savory treat.

Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 3 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Recipe:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the sheet into 6 equal rectangles.
- Place the pastry rectangles on the prepared baking sheet. Use a knife to lightly score a border around each rectangle, about 1/2 inch from the edge.
- Arrange the tomato slices evenly on top of each pastry rectangle.
- Drizzle the tomatoes with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh basil. Serve warm.
