- 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled

- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 cups peeled and chopped apples
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
