A bartender decided to add a splash of olive brine to a traditional Martini, thus creating its new variation and naming it “Dirty Martini”. This twist on the classic cocktail quickly gained popularity among those who enjoyed the extra depth of flavor that the brine provided.

Dirty Martini recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 ounces gin or vodka
  • 1/2 ounce dry vermouth
  • 1/2 ounce olive brine
  • olives for garnish

Recipe:
1. Fill a mixing glass or cocktail shaker with ice and add all the ingredients.
2. Stir or shake well, depending on your preference for texture and dilution.
3. Strain the mixture into a chilled Martini glass and garnish with one or more olives on a cocktail pick.
