Donna Karan (born on October 2, 1948) is an American fashion designer and the founder of “Donna Karan New York” (DKNY) clothing brand.

Donna Ivy Faske was born in Queens, New York City. Her mother Helen “Queenie” Faske (née Rabinowitz) was a model and designer, and her father Gabriel “Gabby” Faske (born Faskowitz) was a tailor. Both of them were of a Jewish origin.
