Layering is making a comeback this season and it looks like it will still be at the peak of popularity even during the fall time. A skirt is a beautiful and feminine element itself, even sexy. But when the pants are used for the background, the style takes on a new life. Skirt over pants trend first came to us yet in the 90s, in the form of gorgeous combinations of black mini and slightly flared trousers. The current fashion is much more edgy, including denim skirts paired with pajama pants.

For jeans, the skirt is selected according to the texture. If your choice fell on denim, which itself is a harsh material, then the skirt should be chosen, on the contrary, airy and delicate, to balance the overall look. For example, it can be from chiffon, tulle or taffeta. You can also make a monochrome look, or dilute it with a contrasting skirt.

Layering can be achieved not only with a skirt, but also with a dress or tunic. A short sweater or jacket will add texture. Shoes can range from men’s oxfords to sexy stilettos to match the look you want to create.

• Do not mix too many styles, textures, or color shades;
• Do not combine equally dense and rigid fabrics with each other, avoiding a bulky, uncomfortable silhouette;
• Do not combine two voluminous silhouettes in one look.
