Grechetto

Grechetto is a white grape variety native to central Italy, especially Umbria and parts of Lazio. It has been cultivated since ancient times and is most famously used in the production of Orvieto wines. Known for its thick skins and resistance to disease, Grechetto contributes to wines with good body, moderate acidity, and nutty, stone fruit-driven flavors. It is often blended but also vinified on its own to produce expressive varietal wines.

Flavor

Grechetto wines typically offer aromas of white peach, pear, and almond, often with notes of herbs and citrus peel. On the palate, they are medium-bodied with a rounded texture and a fresh, slightly bitter finish reminiscent of hazelnut or almond skin.
