Roasted Sesame Chicken

Recipe of the roasted sesame chicken, as a flavorful and aromatic dish that combines tender chicken with the nutty taste of sesame seeds. Perfect for a family dinner or a special gathering, this dish offers a delightful blend of savory and slightly sweet flavors, making it a favorite among both kids and adults.

Ingredients:
- 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (60 ml)
- 2 tbsp honey (30 ml)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil (30 ml)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (15 ml)
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds (30 g), toasted
- 2 green onions, chopped
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
Recipe:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and rice vinegar until well combined.
- Place the chicken thighs in a large bowl or resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is well coated, then cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in a roasting pan. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
- In the last 10 minutes of roasting, sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds over the chicken to allow them to adhere to the skin.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
