Carrick Coat (also known as “Garrick Coat”) is an overcoat with three to five cape collars popular in the XIX century and mostly worn for riding and travel. Originally appeared in England but was quickly adapted by French for both men and women. Modern variations of Carrick Coats occasionally show up in the runway shows of various designers.
