Perfecto is a brand name for the leather motorcycle jackets designed by Irving Schott and manufactured by his American clothing company “Schott NYC”. The first jacket was introduced in 1928, becoming the first leather motorcycle jacket of the distinctive style which is well known nowadays.
Schott himself was a Russian immigrant with the Jewish roots. The name for the motorcycle jackets’ collection was created after his favorite cigar shape called “Perfecto”, as he thought that it would sound more attractive to the customers. During the years the name “Perfecto” has already become a collective one.
