Trilby

Trilby is a variation of the more known fedora hat, with the difference that trilby is made of a much softer material and its brim is more turned up. This is a small rounded hat with a narrow brim and one deep recess in the crown. Trilby received its name from the stage production of the late XIX century, based on the work of the English writer George Du Maurier with the eponymous title “Trilby” in 1894.

Trilby hat exists in two types: summer trilbies are lighter, made of cotton or straw, while winter trilbies are denser, made of felt, tweed or wool.
