Agal is an Arab men’s clothing accessory, a black cord which is worn doubled and used to keep a ghutrah in place on the wearer’s head. Originally agal was made of goat hair. Traditionally worn by Arabs from the Arabian Peninsula, Iraq, Jordan, parts of Egypt, Palestine and Syria.
