Balayage — is a hair coloring technique, when highlights are painted by hands or being ‘swept’ on the random sections of the hair. A lightener or dye is usually painted on, starting mid shaft and becoming denser to the lower section of the hair and to the tips. Since the color is applied to the surface of the hair, it creates the effect of a so-called natural sunshine, which does not have such a strict pattern as conventional highlighting.
