TAG Heuer
TAG Heuer is a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer. It is known as one of the most prestigious and innovative watch brands in the world, especially in the field of sports chronographs. The brand is famous for its Carrera, Monaco, and Aquaracer models, as well as its close connection to motorsports.
Interesting fact: In 1962, an ordinary Heuer 2915A stopwatch became the first Swiss timepiece to travel into space. Astronaut John Glenn bought it in a store and attached it to his spacesuit with elastic bands to duplicate the instruments of the Mercury-6 spacecraft. The company’s head, Jack Heuer, learned about this flight completely by chance — just by seeing NASA’s official photographs in the newspapers. Today, this historic instrument is kept in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, not in the brand’s own collection.
