Sport coat (also known as “sport jacket”) is a men’s casual jacket designed to be worn without matching trousers, usually for sporting purposes. Most commonly used fabrics for it are corduroy, suede, and tweed. The term “sport coat” originated yet in the 19th century when men used to wear special coats for hunting and fishing.
