Après-ski, if to translate it from French, means “after skiing”, so this category includes all the clothing usually worn after a day of skiing or snowboarding on snowy mountain slopes, to rest by the fireplace, drink wine, relax, while being dressed in functional, comfortable, and stylish outfits. Sweaters with Scandinavian patterns, giant fur hats with earflaps, colorful ponchos, and much more. The “après-ski” style gained popularity as soon as skiing became not only an occupation of athletes, but also a fashionable social event. By the end of the 1920s, many fashion designers of the time started to create collections of clothes exclusively for wearing at ski resorts.
