Moon Boots — futuristic après-ski winter boots designed by Giancarlo Zanatta and his company “Tecnica” in 1969, following “Apollo-11” astronauts landing on Moon the same year. Moon boots became popular because they were stylish and warm to be comfortably worn by the skiers at the outdoor post ski parties of the ski resorts. Moon boots were technologically advanced and eye-catching, same as the astronauts’ boots of those times.
