Yellow Bird
August 30, 2023
Two of the most popular versions of the Yellow Bird cocktail’s origin say that it was either named after the Haitian tune “Yellow Bird”, rewritten in English in 1957 that became a sort of national anthem of the Caribbean, later performed and popularized by the Hawaiian singer Arthur Lyman, or as another version states — it was named due to its significant bright yellow color, often being associated with a little canary bird.
